Until now, I have thought that tobacco don’t have any plus factor.
But, thanks to this story, I could understand the importance of tobacco for developing country people.
That is to say, the tobacco has some plus factor from a different perspective.
This is a complicated problem.
If only a gap between rich and poor in countries would disappear!

Tobacco
Hi,
This is interesting. The impact that tobacco has on the developing world.
I watched a TV programme showing young children picking the tobacco in the fields.
It was causing them to get quite sick.
I also think the Japanese government should ban it in public places. However, I believe they own Japanese Tobacco, so I guess that won't be happening anytime soon!!!

I'm shocked...
Hi, I'm Mitsuyasu Uzawa.
This article is very interesting.
In particular, "tobacco kills nearly five and a half million people a year -- another victim every six seconds." this sentence is very impressive.
I don't like tobacco, too.
So, even if tobacco is important industry in developing countries, I hope to reduce tobacco.
It is sure to guide us to the better world.

On World No Tobacco Day, Special Attention Goes to Women, Girls
Hi, everyone.
The reason why I chose this article is that I don’t like tobacco at all.
Smoking is bad for the health. It’s involved in the around people.
And it costs a lot of money to get tobacco.
Giving up smoking is not easy.
Tobacco is not necessary for people.
But tobacco is good industry for developing countries.
These countries are supported by tobacco.
If tobacco is eliminated, these countries will suffer major damage.
This is a difficult problem.

The answers to the worksheet are:
1: Almost one hundred seventy countries have signed.
2: It’s persuading people, especially young people not to start smoking.
